Pyjama Days Everyday

Would you wear your pyjamas in public? You’re missing out if you haven’t tried it. The pyjama dressing trend has been around for a few years now and its set to stay for another season. Pyjamas fit straight in as daywear in 2019 as so many women are favouring the comfort of sneakers over stilettos or track pants over trousers. Take leisure dressing to the next level and step out in your latest silk set.

With this trend us girls tend to fall in two categories: 1) those who barely need an invitation to wear their PJ’s outside the house & 2) those totally horrified by the thought of it.

Let’s think of it like this… Our cosy robe or silky stripe sets are a perfect upgrade from your boyfriend’s baggy t-shirt on a lazy weekend, so there’s no reason a Saturday night-out couldn’t benefit from a silk shirt or printed PJ top as much as Sunday afternoon can. This month FD teamed up with fashion blogger @evaciland to teach you some tips on wearing your PJ’s as ready to wear. Rise and shine, its pyjama time…

Slip on (or keep on) your slinky camisole. Sleek prints or crisp white cottons are the perfect base to any outfit. Like Eva pair a floral cami with your Mom jeans for an effortless style. Not into your prints? Pair a plain silk cami in the same way for the same level of style.

Select a silky set and pair your stripes with some denim jeans or shorts for an on-trend, easy-breezy summer style. Bold stripes and blue denims are a perfect combination, ideal for park days or city get-aways.

Step it up like Eva and layer over a denim jacket, tick off two trends in one. We love double denim days.

Dare to double up in a bold silk set like Gigi Hadid, Sophie Turner & Jessica Parker.

Here’s our favourite FD picks of bold silks to get you noticed this season.

Like Eva you can always opt for just the top. Knot it & crop it up, pair with summer accessories for a chic look.

Swap from blue to black jeans and add some heals for a summer soiree or evening out. It can be so much more than your PJ shirt.

Early mornings just got easier, pyjama dressing proves you can be chic and comfortable all in one. Eva styles our Gilda & Pearl Sophia Silk Shirt open as light jacket. Snooze for longer and still step out shining, yep, our pyjamas work just as well on the streets as they do in the sheets. Have yourself a pyjama day, everyday.
